SERP Checker is a tool that displays the organic Google search results for a given keyword and market. It simultaneously checks results for desktop and mobile, as well as information about backlink profiles. It also shows the position at which the given domain or URL appears. You can export the results to a CSV file.

What does the SERP Checker tool do?

Basic functionality of the tool

The tool fetches the organic search results from Google for you. You get a complete picture of the competition for your chosen phrase.

You see separate result lists for desktop computers and for mobile devices. You have two clear views.

The system performs an accurate search result check in the Google search engine for the entered query. The analysis covers organic results.

Top 100 results analysis

For each phrase, the tool fetches the top 100 SERP results for desktop. At the same time, it pulls the top 100 for mobile.

You can enter your domain in the Domain or URL field. You’ll then get a precise page position check in the search results.

Location and language support

You have full control over location. You can select the country and language your query relates to.

The tool supports all countries and languages available in Google. That’s over two hundred markets worldwide.

You don’t need a VPN. Change the country in one field and instantly see the local SERP.

Interface and query configuration

The interface is centered on the SERP Checking section. Here, you enter the Keyword or phrase field.

You’ll also see the Select the language of your text setting. An example would be United States (English).

Backlink data

You can activate the Show backlink data option. When enabled, the tool enriches results with extra metrics.

You get info about backlinks for every page in the results. You receive four key indicators.

Domain Power and Page Power metrics

The first indicator is Domain Power DP. It shows the approximate strength of a domain based on its backlink profile.

The second indicator is Page Power. It reflects the strength of a specific URL according to its links.

The third indicator is the number of links pointing to the URL. The fourth is the number of domains linking to that page.

No result personalization

The results are not personalized for a specific user. Search history does not affect the arrangement of pages.

Tips and best practices

  • Always compare desktop and mobile results. Mobile users often see different results.
  • Focus especially on the first page of results. That’s where most organic traffic goes.
  • Combine SERP data with content analysis of competitor pages. Review their article structure.
  • Enable Show backlink data for key business phrases. You’ll better assess difficulty level.
  • Compare the number of referring domains. This indicator often tells you more than the link count alone.
  • Repeat analyses regularly. Watch how the competitive landscape changes over time.

Most common mistakes

  • You don’t enter your domain in the Domain or URL field. This makes it harder to check your own position.
  • You skip backlink data. It’s then harder to assess the real strength of competitor domains.
  • You assume mobile results are identical to desktop. That’s often a wrong assumption.
  • You only analyze your own domain’s position. You don’t review the content of pages ranking above yours.
  • You enter very broad phrases. This gives you a picture with low business value.

  10. Write down your conclusions and plan your next SEO and content marketing steps based on the data.

Also review the types of pages in the top ten. Notice that in-depth guides and detailed product descriptions dominate.
