Somewhere on your site there is a broken link, a truncated title, or a duplicate page splitting your rankings. You will not find it by clicking around. Website Audit crawls your whole site in the background and runs 110+ technical SEO checks on every page. You get one site health score, a prioritized to-do list, and a plain-language fix for each issue.

Add a site once and audit it whenever you like - or on a schedule. Every audit is saved, so you can track progress over time and prove what improved. Run a free SEO audit now - paste a URL, no account needed, first findings in about a minute.

What you get from one website audit

One run gives you the full picture, not a sample. The crawler follows internal links, reads your sitemap, and checks every URL it finds. Then it turns hundreds of data points into a report you can act on today.

  • A health score with issues by priority. Errors, warnings and notices, grouped by category - crawl errors and indexing problems first.
  • A fix for every issue. What it means, why search engines care, and the concrete step to resolve it.
  • A complete per-URL report. Status codes, redirect path, headings, images, dates, authors, page type and links for each page.
  • A map of your structure. Page types, URL tree, semantic levels, domain versions and language homes at a glance.
  • Change tracking between audits. See which pages were added or removed, which started failing or became non-indexable, and every changed title, meta description, H1 and canonical with its old and new value. Content changes are counted in words for paragraphs, headings, quotes, lists and tables.
  • Email alerts. After a completed audit you get one message when pages disappear, break, change indexability or change their content. You decide which changes count.

Indexability, crawl errors and on-page SEO

The audit reads the HTTP status code of every URL and follows redirects to the final address. It flags 404 errors, 301 and 302 redirects, redirect chains, meta-refresh hops and 5xx server errors. It also checks whether your http, https, www and non-www versions all redirect to one canonical origin.

Canonical tags are verified - missing, duplicated, pointing at a redirect or at a dead page. Noindex and nofollow directives are read from the HTML and from X-Robots-Tag headers, with the reason a page is excluded. Robots.txt and XML sitemaps are checked both ways. That covers syntax, blocked URLs, dead entries and indexable pages missing from the sitemap.

Titles and meta descriptions are measured by characters and by pixel width, so you see exactly what Google truncates. Headings H1-H6 are counted and checked for missing, multiple, empty or skipped levels. Hreflang, x-default, language, charset, viewport, Open Graph, X cards and favicons complete the on-page SEO checks.

Links, content quality, performance and security

Broken internal and external links are attributed to the pages that contain them. Every link is classified by zone: content, menu, sidebar or footer. So you can tell contextual links from sitewide ones. Each page shows its incoming links, the pages linking to it, orphans and pages hanging on a single link.

Duplicate and near-duplicate content is found with a SimHash index. Pages that differ only by a city name still get caught. Thin pages are measured by main-content words, excluding navigation and footer. Images are checked for missing ALT text, decorative images and missing dimensions. JSON-LD structured data is validated against schema.org requirements.

Performance checks cover server response time, HTML size, compression, Googlebot's 2 MB limit and your slowest pages. On Pro plans the audit also measures Core Web Vitals: LCP, CLS, INP and a performance score. It uses the PageSpeed Insights API on a smart sample of pages. Security checks cover HTTPS, mixed content, insecure forms and missing headers like HSTS and Content-Security-Policy.

Every URL, fully explained

Click any page and you get a detailed per-URL report. HTTP and delivery: status, full redirect path, response time, HTML size, document type and Cloudflare detection. Content: heading counts, paragraphs, characters, images with file names, FAQ and iframe detection.

The report also extracts publication dates, modification dates and authors from meta tags and structured data. It lists e-mail addresses found on the page and your own custom patterns, defined with XPath or regular expressions. Links are broken down by zone, with contextual and sitewide incoming counts and the exact pages linking in.

The crawler also recognizes what each page is: article, product, category, tag, filter, pagination, landing, company or legal page. It records the semantic level, the parent URL and the language version. It spots pages rendered mainly by JavaScript, bot-protection challenges and parked domains.

Site structure at a glance

The structure report shows page types and semantic levels as clickable counters that filter the page table. A collapsible URL tree reveals how your site is organized and where content clusters live. You also see pagination volume, sitewide-linked pages and the home page of every language version.

Content age shows how many pages carry a date and how old they are. It also counts pages older than two years. The domain-versions table confirms that http, https, www and non-www all land on one origin. Everything exports to CSV, JSON or a print-ready PDF for client reports.

How the crawler works

Save a website as a project and start the audit. The crawl runs on the server in resumable batches and fetches pages in parallel. You do not need to keep the tab open. If you stay, progress, the current URL and live issue counts update as it works.

Stop, resume or restart at any time without losing what was found. Hit your page limit and the crawl pauses with a clear notice - raise the limit and continue. Transport errors are retried automatically, and every result is stored with full history.

Each project keeps its own settings: page and depth limits, pages per cycle and an optional requests-per-second cap. You also control robots.txt, nofollow, subdomains and external links. Scope the crawl with regex include and exclude rules, a custom User-Agent, or a fixed URL list. Pro plans add JavaScript rendering, a premium proxy and your own rotating proxy, such as Webshare.

Beyond the crawl: logs, Search Console and AI

Log file analysis shows what search engines really do on your site. Upload access logs and see which bots visit, how often and which URLs they hit. You also see how much crawl budget goes to errors. A dedicated view covers AI crawlers like GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot - your window into AI search visibility. Cross-reference a log with a crawl to find pages Googlebot sees that you never linked.

Google Search Console connects with a secure authorization and pulls clicks, impressions, CTR and position by query, page and day. Real performance data sits next to the technical findings, so you fix what actually moves traffic.

AI recommendations turn the issue list into a written plan in your language. Ask for an on-demand fix for any single issue. The optional AI content review reads a sample of your pages. It scores how helpful and unique each one is, then writes a recovery plan.

The AI agent brief turns the findings into a ready prompt with the real URLs and safe working rules. Paste it into Claude Code, Cursor or any AI coding agent that can edit your site, and review each change before you publish it.

Google spam-policy and scaled-content risk

The audit scores the patterns Google's spam policies target. Thin and duplicate share, doorway clusters, hidden text, keyword stuffing, link farms and missing trust signals. You get a low, medium or high risk level, with every indicator shown against its threshold. The risk is an explicit factor of the health score, so you see exactly how much it costs you.

A dedicated scaled-content block groups pages built from one template, like "X calculator" or "service in city". It also measures machine-like sentence cadence and publication bursts. It lists every templated set with its size and example URLs. You know exactly which pages to merge, improve or remove.

When risk is medium or high, you get a step-by-step recovery plan. It is an honest assessment from crawlable signals, not a prediction of any update. Think of it as a checklist after a traffic drop.

Website Audit compared with other tools

Most SEO audit tools cover the core technical checks well. Website Audit differs in depth per URL and in its all-in-one approach. Background crawling with history, logs, Search Console and AI live in one place. A "varies" mark means the capability exists in some tools or on higher tiers.

Frequently asked questions

  • Yes. Paste a URL and audit up to five pages with no account. Results stay in your browser. Sign in to crawl the whole site, keep history and use AI fixes. Paid plans raise the page and project limits.

  • Yes. It follows internal links and your sitemap up to the limits of your plan and project. If it reaches the page limit, it pauses. Raise the limit and continue without losing anything.

  • No. The audit runs in the background on the server. Leave and come back later - the result is saved with full history.

  • Pages are fetched in parallel, so most sites of a few hundred pages finish in minutes. For a fragile server, lower the pages per cycle or set a requests-per-second cap. The crawler paces itself.

  • Status code and full redirect path, response time, HTML size and document type. Headings H1-H6, paragraphs, images with ALT status, dates, authors and e-mails. Page type, semantic level, parent URL, links by zone and the pages linking in.

  • Yes, on Pro plans. The audit samples the home page, one page per type and your most-linked pages, then measures LCP, CLS, INP and a performance score via the PageSpeed Insights API. Real-user CrUX data appears when Google has enough traffic. Poor results become issues with fixes.

  • Yes. A configurable SimHash index finds exact duplicates and near-duplicates, and shows the most similar page with a similarity percentage. It also groups templated page sets built from one heading or title skeleton.

  • Yes, on the Pro plan. Upload or paste access logs to see which search-engine and AI bots crawl your site, how often, and where budget is wasted. Cross-reference a log with a crawled project. Nothing is stored.

  • Yes, on the Pro plan. Connect your Google account with a secure authorization and pull clicks, impressions, CTR and average position by query, page or date.

  • It gives a risk assessment, not a verdict. The panel scores crawlable patterns those systems target and lists the exact pages in every templated set. Google also weighs user signals no crawler can see, so treat a high risk level as a prioritized to-do list.

  • Yes, on Pro plans. Enter an http, https or SOCKS5 proxy URL with credentials - a Webshare rotating endpoint works out of the box. Requests then leave through your proxy.

  • Yes. Each completed audit is compared with the previous one. The Changes tab lists pages added and removed, status and indexability changes, and every changed title, meta description, H1, canonical and meta robots tag with its old and new value. It also counts the words added and removed in paragraphs, headings, quotes, lists and tables.

  • Yes. Schedule a project daily, weekly or monthly and track its score over time. After each run you can get one e-mail when the score drops or when pages disappear, break or change.

Every site has a handful of issues quietly costing it visibility. Run a free website audit and find yours in the next few minutes.
