AI Search Visibility Checker
You are using the basic version. Competitor comparison, ChatGPT data, history and brand suggestions are available in the Pro, Enterprise plans. Upgrade to advanced plan
AI Visibility Checker shows how often AI assistants mention your brand. It covers ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews. The tool is built on real, observed AI answers, not on prompts the tool simulates itself. You get one AI Visibility Score on a scale from 0 to 100. You see your share of mentions against competitors. You also read real AI answers and the sources and pages AI cites in your category.
What is AI visibility?
AI visibility describes how often your brand appears in answers from systems like ChatGPT or Google AI Overviews. More and more customers skip the classic list of results. They ask an assistant directly which product or company to choose. The answer names a few brands, and everyone else stays invisible. Classic rank tracking does not show the full picture here. No single organic position decides whether a brand appears in an AI answer.
DiagnoSEO also takes into account the demand behind the queries where your brand appears. A technical GEO audit shows whether your site is prepared for AI systems. AI Visibility Checker measures the outcome, meaning your brand's real presence in answers. Both tools belong to the same workflow.
Where does the data come from?
The data comes from an aggregated database of AI answers collected at scale. It covers Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT. It is not private user conversations, nor the full set of queries sent to ChatGPT.
AI search volume is an estimate. It describes the demand attached to the query where a mention appears. Treat it as a comparative measure, useful for setting priorities. It is not an exact count of prompts typed by users.
What does AI Visibility Checker do?
AI Visibility Score from 0 to 100
The tool combines three signals into one number. These are your share of mentions, your share of AI search volume and your platform coverage. Your share is compared with the level every brand would hold if visibility were split evenly. That way the score does not rise just because fewer competitors are in the comparison. Every score comes with a plain status: Invisible, Marginal, Visible or Dominant.
Share of mentions against competitors
Add up to five competitor domains. The tool compares mentions and volume on the same data set. You see who dominates the AI answers in your category and how wide the gap between brands is.
Real AI answers with sources
Numbers alone do not explain why a brand performs the way it does. The tool returns real AI answers that mention your brand. For each one you see the query, an answer excerpt and the cited sources. It also marks whether your own page was cited.
Sources and pages AI cites
Generative systems often cite a repeating set of sources within a category. The tool lists domains cited in answers about competitors and marks those that skip your brand. It separately lists the exact URLs cited in your category. Those domains and pages are natural candidates for digital PR and outreach. AI already uses them as sources in your category.
Trend and changes over time
You can add a month-by-month chart plus a list of new and lost mentions. Historical data goes back to August 2025. So you do not have to wait half a year to see the direction of change.
Markets and languages
Many AI monitoring tools focus mainly on the English-speaking market. Here you pick a market and language from dozens of combinations. ChatGPT data covers the United States market. Other markets are measured on Google AI Overviews.

- Real AI answers, so you understand the context of each mention.

Tips and best practices
- Start with your home market and add others once you know the baseline.
- Add competitors where you can. Competitive context makes the score easier to read.
- Fill in the brand name to catch mentions with no link to your domain.
- Repeat the check on a fixed schedule. A trend means more than one reading.
- Treat citation gaps as possible targets for digital PR and outreach.
- Publish answer-first content with data an assistant can quote.
Most common mistakes
- Judging visibility from a single chat with an assistant.
- Comparing yourself only with market leaders, without direct competitors.
- Ignoring volume. A mention next to a low-demand query matters less than one next to a popular query.
- Expecting change within days. Content and digital PR work may take time to show up in AI answers.
- Chasing mentions on pages AI never cites in your category.
- Measuring the outcome without checking technical causes on your site.
How to use AI Visibility Checker
Enter your brand domain and fill in the brand name. Choose the market you want to measure. Add competitor domains to unlock the comparison and the gap report. In advanced settings you can enable the trend, brand suggestions and cited pages. After the run, read the score, the share table and the real AI answers.
Example scenario
The numbers below illustrate how the tool works, rather than describing a specific client.
The starting point
A B2B company ranks well in classic search. Yet it does not appear in AI answers about its category.
Running the analysis
The tool returns a score of 18 with the status Invisible. Two competitors hold most of the share of mentions. The answers list shows the company page is rarely cited as a source.
Reading the results
The report lists twelve sources cited by AI in this category. Nine of them do not mention the brand. Those nine go onto the digital PR list.
The result
After three months the brand appears on five of those sources. Over the same period the score moves from 18 to 41 and the status becomes Marginal.
